Materials that we use

All of our paintings are hand drawn and then either painted and converted to a digital image or digitally painted from the start by our artist/owner Mahen Kannigan. We also use a professional drawing tablet and various art programmes, including Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Our Art Paper
We use professional 200 g/m² Premium Luster or Matte Photo Paper, depending on what suits the image, sourced from Canon for our A4 and A3 wall art prints.

Our Canvases

We use lightweight canvas made of blended cotton that’s water resistant, durable and heavy duty. Our canvases are of the highest quality 260gsm canvas material made from a 35% cotton / 65% polyester blend, producing stunning vivid colour. They are  expertly stretched over a 25mm wooden frame, which includes a 3mm backing board mounted behind the print for extra strength and a premium finish.  They come with a protective matt varnish and should only be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Our Mounts

Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is used for the mounting frames because it’s hardwearing and doesn’t warp or protrude into the canvas over time. We stretch the canvas over 35mm subframes which gives it a strong and sturdy look.

Our Frames

We currently use the “No place like home” brand of frames, and have found them to be of exceptional quality and look. They’re also sold at the bigger chain stores like Makro and Leroy Merlin.

We supply them in A4 and A3 sizes in various colours. The frames fit the following size posters:

A4 – 210mm x 297mm

A3 – 297mm x 420mm
